Lotto Max is a new Canadian lottery game that replaced old Lotto Super 7 in fall 2009. Lotto Max began ticket sales on September 19, 2009. Lotto Max Draws are held every Fridays starting with September 25, 2009.
For a $5 wager, a player picks 7 numbers from 49 field, with two additional sets of 7 balls automatically quick-picked, for a total of three plays for $5. Prizes are awarded on how many numbers in each 7-number game are matched the drawn numbers. The Lotto Max jackpot is capped at $50 million, beyond which additional draws are conducted for $1 million each
