EuroMillions & Powerball Rollovers This Weekend
As firm fans of the Olympic Games we have enjoyed the suspense and thrill of events competed so far. This was expected though. What we didn’t expect was to have a €176,000,000 Euromillions jackpot rolling in the background.
Would any athlete trade their Gold medal for this Euromillions jackpot win on Friday night? One can never tell the value of such things – some might taken gold, others might choose the money.
But for those armchair athletes like us, enjoying the spectacle at home I’m sure there is no question – it is Euromillions all the way!
Colin And Chris Weir Join In Olympic Excitement
If there were doubts that the excitement of Euro Millions matches that of the Olympics just ask past winners, Colin and Chris Weir, who have gotten involved in helping an Olympic torch bearer.
Lottery benefactors, Colin & Chris Weir...
Colin and Chris, took home £161 million on the Euro Millions lottery a some over a year ago , have just donated a 5 figure sum to purchase a new prosthetic limb for 13 year old Kieran Maxwell.
Kieran fell over whilst carrying the Olympic flame owing to his then heavy artificial limb. The generosity of Britians biggest lotto winners to date is well known after their sponsorship of young sports men from the United Kingdom.
Chris Weir said: 'When we heard about Kieran and his family’s efforts to raise money for a new prosthetic leg, we just had to help. It is a privilege to support Kieran and, with this new leg, we hope he will continue to be determined to remain active and live life to the full.'
Kieran Maxwell carries the Olympic torch...
Winning This Jackpot Changes Lives
Thanks to Colin and Chris Weir we are reminded that a jackpot win, like this Friday’s €176,000,000 Euromillions jackpot, changes not just your life but also help to change the lives around you.
This weekend you have not one but TWO chances to help to change the world. €176,000,000 is available on Euromillions this Friday night and an 11 rollover, $181,000,000 jackpot is on the American Powerball this Saturday!

New EuroMillions Jackpot cap rule
New Euromillions Jackpot Cap
Our favourite lottery, Euromillions, is making a change as to how they cap their top jackpots! Find out more about the new Euromillions jackpot capping procedure on PlayHugeLottos.comEuromillions is no stranger to change with at least two major Euromillions changes having taken place last year in May: the addition of a Euromillions Tuesday draw (bringing the total number of Euromillions draws per week to two) and the addition of two extra star numbers. Overall the odds of winning a prize improved from 1 in 24 to 1 in 13. This month the Euromillions Lottery will be making a change to the way in which the jackpot cap works. For those lottery players that don’t know, the jackpot ‘cap’ is the level at which a lottery jackpot stops growing, irrespective of any further rollovers taking place. |
• On Friday 17 February the EuroMillions jackpot cap will be set at a permanent €190 million Euro
• The new Jackpot rule will stop any two consecutive draws offering that maximum €190 million jackpot
So, if no lottery players are able to match all 7 lucky Euromillions numbers two weeks in a row, the Euromillions jackpot prize fund will be rolled down to the next highest prize tier, provided of course that there are winners in that tier, otherwise it will roll down further
Here is an example of how the new Euromillions Jackpot cap will work:
• The Euromillions jackpot reaches €190 million after a number of jackpot rollovers
• This capped Euromillions draw then rolls over again
• The jackpot for the next draw will remain at €190 million Euros
• This 2nd capped Euromillions draw is still not won the jackpot fund will be shared by lottery players at the next winning tier - more than likely the 2nd tier where the players have matched 5 balls + 1 star number tier
There you have it folks, the new Euromillions Jackpot cap which will be coming into effect shortly. We wish you all the best of luck when you play Euromillions – and here’s to you taking home all €190 million Euros!

Next EuroMillions Draw is Today: Jackpot €185 million
If you are alone in scooping todays EuroMillions jackpot your wealth will apparently outstrip the Beckhams.
Tonight's Euro Millions jackpot will be the largest lottery jackpot ever offered in the United Kingdom.
After a series of rollovers it stands at €185m, and because it has been capped at this amount prizes in the next tier down are now also worth much more than usual.
No one scooped the jackpot last Friday, although two UK ticket holders did win a very nice £3.3m each for matching 5 main numbers and 1 lucky star. Their prize win was boosted because the jackpot has been capped at €185 million, meaning any extra money rolls down to the prizes in the next tier down. The usual prize for matching those numbers would be approx. £211,000, Camelot said.
The lottery operator saw sales of the £2 tickets hit 3 million an hour, and high sales are expected again today.
A National Lottery spokeswoman said: "The massive €185m jackpot is still to be won, and all eyes now focus on next Tuesday's draw. In addition to the chance to win this life-changing prize, we could also see several millionaires created in the next prize level down."
This series of Euro Millions rollovers has also generated £100m to be donated to charitable causes, the lottery operator said.
If one player takes the €185m prize they would be the biggest lottery winner ever in Europe. They would also become the 418th richest person in the United Kingdom and would be little better off than the Beckhams with their fortune of £165m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
According to Coutts bank, investing this kind of money would earn the winner interest of £9,323 a day, or £3.4m a year.

No winner last night: Next 8 july Jackpot rollover is €185 000 000
The prize money, which would create the biggest ever winner in Europe if a single ticket holder scooped the lot, will now roll over again to Friday's contest.
The current biggest lottery winner in the United Kingdom is an anonymous ticketholder who scooped a £113million prize last October.
On August 22, 2009, a single ticket winner won Italy's SuperEnalotto jackpot, which was 147,807,299.08 euros (£128.3 million at the time).
The EuroMillions jackpot can grow to a maximum of 185million euros.
If no one wins this Friday, jackpot will be frozen until a lucky player matches all 5 main numbers and 2 Lucky Star numbers to win.
Any prize money which would have boosted the current jackpot above this level will be passed down to the next prize level in each draw, boosting the payout for those winners.
The winner would be the equivalent of 418th on the Sunday Times Rich List.
Players select five numbers between 1 and 50 and two Lucky Stars from 1 to 11.
The EuroMillions draws normally take place in Paris, and players must match a minimum of two main numbers to win a prize. Match five numbers and both Lucky Stars to win the jackpot, or a share of it.
Previously, Britain has had a number of huge prize winners, some sharing jackpots in excess of £100million.
Nigel Page and Justine Laycock from Cirencester won £56million in February 2010 after sharing their prize with a Spanish winner.
And three months later an unnamed British ticket holder won £84.5million.
Four years ago Angela Kelly, a Royal Mail administrator from East Kilbride, Scotland, won £35.4million, which at the time was the largest lottery win in the UK.
For those looking to history to influence their choice of number, a National Lottery spokesman revealed the most, and least, frequently drawn numbers.
The most frequently drawn main number is 50, having been drawn 58 times, most recently on 28 June 2011. The least frequently drawn main number is 28, drawn 28 times, last on 27 May 2011.

RECORD AMOUNT ON OFFER FOR EUROMILLIONS
Another record-breaking lottery win may be on the way if a single ticket holder scoops up the £113m estimated jackpot on EuroMillions.
Kelly Brook adds a touch of glamour to Camelot's lottery
That would make the lucky ticket owner the single biggest lottery winner in the UK.
So is such a sum too much for one person to win?
Camelot winners' consultant Dot Renshaw says that, in her experience, the more money a person wins, the more they share with others.
"I have met people who have won lots and lots of money and what you usually find is they share it with lots and lots of people so it gets spread around.
"Generally, the bigger the win, the harder it is for the person to comprehend what's happened. I tell them to take their time, don't rush anything and remember it really is their money.
Dot seems to have seen the best side of human nature.
A syndicate from Liverpool won more than £45m on Euromillions
"Most people have a strong sense of responsibility and want to make sure their children will be well looked after and the money will make their lives better.
"Quite often someone will have fallen out with another family member before the win and that puts pressures on - will it make things worse, or better? Should they get in touch, or not? That sort of thing. We try to help where we can.
"And after they've looked after their families, winners often give something to charity, too.
One person who did just that, and a little more is Jane Surtees, who won £7.5m in December 2008 and has since used her win to help a number of charities, in particular an orphanage in Ethiopia.
"I have always been a real pushover when it comes to kids and I used to see those images of the children around the Live Aid time and wish I could do something.
When she mentioned after her win that she'd like to do something, she was quickly pointed in the right direction.

Her involvement with the children at the orphanage has given her real pleasure, she says, and she remains in touch.
When Jane and her husband, Mark, married last year, guests and friends donated to Make a Wish Foundation instead of giving a present. "We didn't need any more toasters for heaven's sake!"
While Jane believes in a form of karma - having been given, she wants to give back - she also very much enjoys her change in fortune.
"I'm still in the "honeymoon" period when I wake up and still can't quite believe it. But I'm enjoying myself and so are the children. I'm having a state of the art kitchen put in which is something I could not have done before.
"And a whole group of us are going on holiday with Virgin to Disneyland in April - now that's the sort of thing it would have been hard to do before!"
